Are you ready for the Cold and Snow?
Can a black woolly worm caterpillar really predict the coming winter weather? Also known as a woolly bear caterpillar, this larval form of the Isabella tiger moth has black and brown bands. According to folklore, black bands are associated with snowy weather and brown bands are an indicator of mild conditions. No matter what winter weather comes our way; make sure you’re ready by checking your fuel supply and having your heating system tuned up to operate more efficiently. As a rule of thumb, 100 gallons of heating oil or kerosene will last between four to six weeks depending upon your individual heating preferences.
